Thanksgiving FIRSTS

For thanksgiving we headed down to AZ to spend turkey day with Jason's brother, his wife and their 2 cute girls. We had a great time and experienced a couple FIRSTS in our life. Most exciting and adventurous of our FIRSTS...we went skydiving!! That's right Jake, Jason and I all jumped from 13000 feet and fell for 7000 in about a minute before the parachute was pulled. That's about 120 MPH! Jason and I went indoor skydiving back in March. Since I knew what that felt like I wasn't scared for the actually falling...but I was scared for the JUMP out of the plane! It's a good thing I was strapped to someone that did the jumping or I don't know if I would have got out of the plane! I had a little knot in my stomach while we were waiting...and I became more nervous at the thought of peeing my pants or puking than actually skydiving! I'm happy to report that all body fluids stayed in their appointed places! Aside from the pressure hurting my ears I enjoyed it and would definitely do it again. Jason and Jake loved every minute of it and would do it again too. Unfortunately we don't have any pics of us actually jumping. We just couldn't cough up $80...nearly half the price of a jump for pics. We're cheap, I know.
After our skydiving morning we were starving and headed for our second FIRST....In & Out. We were curious to see what all the hype is about...but had no interest in waiting in line for 2 hours here in Utah, so we took advantage of the short lines in AZ. It was good...definitely beats Wendy's, McDonalds, etc....for a quick burger, but I must admit I prefer Five Guys better. (sorry to all your In & Out fans)
Other than jumping out of planes and eating burgers, we just hung out, relaxed, watched the BYU/UTAH game, and played with Averi and Claire. They are super cute and it was sure fun to be with them! Thanks Jake and Kari for having us!

Me and Jas pre jump

Jason and Jake 'jumping'...just imagine my head at the top. I need to figure out how to photo shop myself in since I was too busy taking the picture

Jason, me and Jake post jump. We each received a certificate and t-shirt for our bravery!

Little Claire...her hair was so funny after her nap. It looked like a hairdo from the Wizard of Oz. You can kinda see the flat top and curls sticking out from the sides, but the in-person view was the best!

I caught Averi as she was playing in her room. She's so funny...she likes to play by herself and will lock Claire out of her room! That doesn't make Claire very happy!
