BiRthDaY bIrThDAy!!!

Ellie is TWO! Holy cow where did those 2 years go?? We had a fun birthday celebration. Her morning started out with a birthday waffle, complete with a candle and singing from mom and dad. I forgot to include that picture. After her birthday breakfast she helped me make her birthday cake...and of course LOVED every second of it. Ellie always loves to help me mix, stir, and cook but it's extra fun to make your own cake and get to taste it too!

That afternoon we got together and Papa and Gram's house for Ellie's Under the Sea Swimming party. Ellie LOVES the little Mermaid. Before and around the time of her birthday it was ALL she wanted to watch. Along with her love of The Little Mermaid she loves water and swimming so it was a perfect combo.

After swimming it was time for presents.

Then cake and creamies. One of Ellie's summer time loves were "chocolate popsicles".

I ordered a set of 8 little mermaid characters for her cake. They didn't come in time so we only had Eric and Arial. This was my last minute attempt at cake decorating. It's a good thing I have many more years of birthdays ahead of me to get better at cake decorating. Hopefully I can remember to take pics before the cake is cut too!

Grandma and Grandpa Dewey were in Idaho during the swim party so Ellie opened presents from them the following week. TWO present opening sessions?! What a lucky girl. She was spoiled rotten by all of her grandparents. Thanks again for all the gifts and love for Ellie!
