BOISE

Three months after my sister had her baby we finally made it up to Boise to meet little Paige. My other sister and I planned on leaving at night when El and my niece could sleep the whole way. When we learned of a storm rolling in we left early in a last minute rush to beat the storm. Although we had concerns about how well Ellie and Libby would do in the car they did great and it was good we left when we did. Most of our drive was decent....just wet from previous snow and some rain. The last part of our drive had some scary moments due to some ice and snow but we made it safe and sound.

Lucy was thrilled to have her cousins come stay at her house. Although the girls sometimes had a hard time sharing they had a fun time playing and did all kinds of fun things.

Jumping on the bed...

popping pop corn...

and movie night were some of the favorite activities.

Ellie spilling the popcorn all over the place was pretty neat too! After all what kid wants to eat it out of a bowl when you can eat it off the movie mat?

And then there is sweet baby Paige. It was so fun to finally get to meet her and snuggle her. She is such a happy smiley baby! Ellie LOVED her. We slept downstairs and every morning as we were coming up stairs she would say "baby". She loved to look at her, wave at her and give her loves.

The girls were also big fans of the squirrels and loved to watch them scamper across the fence and up the trees.

This morning Ellie was not feeling well so she was quite distraught when I went outside to snap a picture. Gotta love that sad sad face! After a fussy,  whinny, clingy, poor appetite (which is REALLY unusually for Ellie) morning, all was explained with an episode of cookie tossing.  Ellie puked all over her, me and the kitchen cupboards. As I was cleaning up puke my sister Michelle came upstairs to ask Marie for gloves and a bucket. The same time Ellie was puking Libby was getting into mischief rolling an entire roll of toilet paper into the toilet!!!! I had to chuckle as I thought about our simultaneous cleaning situations. Life with toddlers is NEVER boring!

Bath time is always more fun with cousins!

Libby has such a funny personality. She says the funniest things. One of my favorites has to be in regards to her booger finding habits. After she blows or picks her nose she has to look at the result. Once she sees the fruits of her labor she says "I got the big-a boog".

While we were away my dad gave our sisterly reunion the name of Extreme Estrogen Extravaganza in Boise...or EEEB as he liked to call it. And here is documentation of our ESTROGEN gathering.  All these ladies in one house!! My brother in law Tyler is such a great sport for putting up with all the female visitors. THANKS for a great visit and all the fun.

  1. How fun that you all have little girls! Looks like a lot of fun to get together with your sisters. They'll have a lot of fun memories growing up together.
